Local charity support

Every two years staff nominate a local charity of their choice, which the company as a whole then vote for to become the ‘Ansvar Charity’ for the next two years. Various activities and fundraisers take place throughout the year, including sponsored walks, cake bakes, dress down and volunteering days. All money raised by staff is matched by the company.

 

We are currently supporting The Beachy Head Chaplaincy Team, who work around the clock, every day of the year to patrol the Beachy Head area, helping those who could be planning to end their life at the well-known beauty spot. The search and rescue chaplaincy staff are supported by a large team of qualified and committed search and rescue chaplaincy volunteers.  They patrol on foot, by car and respond to emergency calls, to locate people at risk.

 

All search and rescue chaplains are Christians from local churches although they do not impose their faith on the people they help.

 

They believe that by receiving skilled crisis intervention support at their time of crisis, people in suicidal distress can be awakened to the hope that there are other ways forward to address the problems they face.
